Akpabio “Mistakenly” Discloses Money Paid To Senators For Holiday In Viral Video

A viral video on the internet caused mammoth outrage after Senate President, Godswill Akpabio announced in the footage that money had been wired into their individual bank accounts in order to enjoy their annual vacation.

The video trended on social media in the early hours of Wednesday after it surfaced.

In the footage, Akpabio can be heard saying in his address;

“In order to enable all of us to enjoy our holidays, a token has been sent to our various accounts by the Clerk of the National Assembly…,”.

Senators roared to cut him him short as he made the announcement and Nigerian believe that was to stop him from public disclosure for fear of a backlash.

It took a while for Akpabio to get the memo before he then paused and thereafter withdrew the statement.

He rephrased the information saying;

“In order to enjoy your holidays, the Senate President has sent prayers to your mailboxes to assist you to go on a safe journey and return,”.
