Arsene Wenger insists Premier League season must finish … Laments Struggles Of Self-Isolation

Published

Legendary Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, has called on premier league chiefs to ensure the season finishes while revealing the struggles of self-isolation at age 70 in his native France.

Wenger, Arsenal’s longest serving manager, falls among the age-grade of people mostly affected by the novel coronavirus and says the premier league season must finish even though the world adapts to the reality of the pandemic.

France is one of the European countries affected by the virus and Wenger says people now realize there are more important things in life than football.

Speaking to TalkSPORT on Thursday, Wenger said: “I believe the priority for the Premier League is to finish the season.

“That could mean pushing fixtures back until the end of June, but they have to do that.

“It’s a new way of life for everybody and we have to adapt.

“In France, it was a bit earlier than England, so we have to live isolated, with no more than five to ten contacts per day. “That’s not easy.

“We thought football was the main priority in our lives, but we discover now that there are much more important things.”
