Luka Modrić’s injury status has been verified by Real Madrid, and he may be sidelined for the opening leg of the Champions League semifinal matchup against Manchester City.

Luka Modrić might potentially be sidelined for Madrid’s Copa del Rey final match against Osasuna on May 6 at the Estadio de la Cartuga due to the injury.

According to reports, the Croatian player has “an injury to the back of his left thigh” and is anticipated to be sidelined for roughly two weeks.

Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged his injuries but expressed some doubt about his ability to play in the Los Blancos midfield.

“Luka Modrić is injured. We don’t know when he will be back, we will see for the Copa del Rey final — we don’t know,” Ancelotti said.

“We’re sad, I hope he will return very soon”.
