Court Fixes New Date For Seun Kuti’s Arraignment

The arraignment of Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has been scheduled for September 27th by a Chief Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos.

Seun Kuti was initially apprehended following an order from the former Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, on May 13th.

The arrest was made on the grounds of assaulting a police officer in uniform on the Third Mainland Bridge.

The case has been moved to court, however, the presiding judge, Chief Magistrate Adeola Olaunbosun, was unavailable on Monday, leading to the postponement.

This marks the fourth time the case has been rescheduled.
