Nigerian music sensation Davido extended his heartfelt condolences to his fellow artist, Wizkid, following the tragic loss of Wizkid’s mother.

Davido took to Twitter to express his condolences to Wizkid and his family. In a heartfelt tweet, he wrote, “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time,” accompanied by a heart emoji.

This seemingly simple message highlights the unity and support among the duo amidst rivalry by fans.

Wizkid’s mum, Jane Balogun passed away at around 1.30 am on August 19, 2023, at the age of 60.

His manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the incident to journalists on Friday, saying; “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am.”
