Diego Maradona Discharged From The Hospital After Successful Surgery To Remove A Blood Clot From His Brain

Football legend, Diego Maradona has been discharged from the hospital eight days after being admitted for brain surgery.

The Argentinian was hospitalized last week and had to have an emergency operation to remove a blood clot from his brain. 

Leopoldo Luque, the doctor who recently treated Diego Maradona, uploaded an image alongside the infamous No.10 to social media following his successful operation. The Argentine star underwent emergency surgery for a subdural hematoma and is awaiting discharge to leave the Olivos Clinic.

The pair took a photo together with Maradona in his hospital bed and still visibly frail from the ordeal, although visibly upbeat and vibrant.”I gave you my word, you trusted it and we pulled through together. This continues but today we celebrate this great step together. I wish you peace as a family, Maradona. I love you forever,” Luque wrote on his Instagram in an image that has gone viral.
