Federal Government Provides Update On N-Power Batch C
On Friday, Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs provided an update on Batch C of the N-Power programme.
Farouq made this update on Batch C of the N-Power programme known at a commemoration event of the N-power’s first anniversary held in Abuja. She said that as at the last count, 109,823 beneficiaries from Batch A and B have set up businesses in their communities.
Farouq said, “we have successfully exited the 500,000 Batch A and B beneficiaries and closed registration for Batch C with a total of 5,042,001 registrations received.”
She further assured that only qualified candidates would be selected.
As we move to the selection stage, the Ministry will ensure due diligence will be applied to ensure that only duly qualified applicants are enrolled,” Farouq continued.
She went on to disclose that work was currently ongoing to ensure the establishment of the National Disability Commission and the take-off of the National Senior Citizens Centre.
