It was hard luck on Monday for the Super Eagles team of Nigeria as they crashed out of FIFA women’s world cup 2023 after loosing to England on penalties.

The Nigerian Super Falcons played hard and fought bravely but were eliminated from the competition after England won 4-2 on penalties.

During that match, Lauren James was sent off after stamping on Michelle Alozie in women’s world cup.

Both players had a clash before Alozie went down on the floor. Frustrated with the incident, James planted her stud onto her opponent’s back.

The referee initially issued James a yellow card im until she was called to the monitor by VAR. After reviewing the engagement, she overturned the yellow card and issued a red card.
