Samklef shares video of Davido, Chioma, and the couple’s new twins leaving a U.S. hospital

On October 9, 2023, the award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, affectionately known as Davido, found himself in the headlines as rumors swirled about the arrival of a set of twins with his celebrity chef wife, Chioma. The supposed joyful event took place in the United States of America.

Despite the buzz surrounding the reported birth of twins, Davido and Chioma remained notably silent, leaving Nigerians in a state of suspense and uncertainty. Speculations ran wild as many pondered whether the news was legitimate or mere hearsay.

Adding a touch of intrigue to the narrative, Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu, a popular Nigerian clergyman, dropped a hint about the birth on his church’s official Facebook page. He shared a supposed chat with Davido, fuelling the flames of anticipation.

However, to complicate matters further, Davido, in a post on social media (formerly known as Twitter), clarified that the images circulating of him on a hospital bed with his wife were old photos. He urged his colleagues and friends to refrain from sharing outdated pictures.

Amidst the ambiguity, Afrobeat producer and singer Samklef, joined the conversation with a video posted on social media, presenting what appeared to be Davido, Chioma, and the twins. In his post, Samklef excitedly declared, “Oya, it’s official! Congratulations to @davido and @thecheffchi—double blessings, one boy and one girl!”
