Floyd Mayweather announces he will face British-Nigerian YouTube star Deji in a Dubai exhibition fight’
Undefeated American boxer, Floyd Mayweather has confirmed he will fight British-Nigerian YouTube star Deji in an exhibition bout.
The comes following news the 45-year-old made $20million after he knocked out MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in just two rounds during an exhibition match on Saturday night.
His fight with Deji will take place on November 13 in front of 17,000 fans at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing in 2017 with a fight record of 50-0, has continued to make money from exhibition fights while retaining his unbeaten record.
This will be Mayweather’s fifth exhibition fight since retiring after he defeated UFC legend Conor McGregor in 2017 and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Mayweather said: ‘I am delighted to bring this incredible boxing experience to Dubai. Global Titans will give fans an unrivalled boxing match with a huge undercard.
‘It is an honour to be a part of such an iconic event in an iconic city, and I would like to thank the Global Titans team for reaching out to me and giving back so much to the sport I love.’
Deji, who has 10.7m subscribers on the online video platform, defeated fellow YouTuber Yousef ‘Fousey’ Erakat last month via a third-round stoppage after losing his first three bouts.
