“I Chose Music Over Dance Because I Love Money” – Asake
Asake in a recent interview talked about his old dance career and he revealed that his transition from dance to music was to his deep desire for money.
He expressed his doubts about whether dancing alone could yield the level of financial status he aspired to achieve, hence, the decision to switch.
In his own words, he stated, “The reason I left dance is for my love for money. I want to be very honest. Dance is something that I love. But I’m not sure dance can give me the kind of money I want.”
He continued, addressing the practicality of incorporating dancers even in the music industry: “Even if you want to make it so gangster-like and there are so many people bumping, you still need to use the dancers. So, as they work together, I think for the love of money, I’d rather be singing.”
When prompted about whether he would return to dancing if it brought substantial success, the YBNL artiste firmly responded, “No, I would join music and dance together so I will have more money.”
