ID Cabasa Opens Up The Inside Story Behind HisFallout with 9ice

ID Cabasa, a veteran music producer and singer known as Olumide Ogunade, has unveiled the reasons behind his falling out with his former protégé, Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice.

During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Cabasa shed light on the origins of the dispute, revealing that 9ice’s discontent was from his decision to maintain a working relationship with his ex-wife, Toni Seun Payne.

Recalling that Payne had managed artists under Cabasa’s Coded Tunes Record, a label that housed 9ice and singer Olamide, the background adds context to the situation.

9ice’s displeasure with Cabasa’s choice to continue collaborating with Payne after their breakup became a point of contention.

According to the Cabasa: “When I started pushing Olamide, you noticed I brought Toni Payne in. 9ice was angry but he had no idea why I brought her in. I brought her in because I needed to keep Payne and her son, Zion, close to 9ice. I felt 9ice may never see his son again if she takes Zion abroad.”
