Season 1:
The first season of “Imlie” introduces us to Imlie, an 18-year-old girl raised by Satyakam in Pagdandia village, Uttar Pradesh. Born out of a one-night stand between Meethi and Dev, Imlie aspires to become a police officer. Despite being forced into an unwilling marriage with Aditya, she saves him from danger. Aditya initially mistreats Imlie, intending to marry Malini, his former love. However, as the story progresses, Aditya falls in love with Imlie, creating a complex love triangle. Meanwhile, Imlie forms a bond with businessman Aryan.
The second season introduces Cheeni (Malini and Aditya’s daughter) and Imlie (Aryan and Imlie’s daughter). Aditya, a journalist, proposes to Malini but visits Pagdandia for an interview, leading to complications. The villagers assume Aditya and Imlie spent the night together, forcing them into marriage. Aryan visits Pagdandia to resolve the issue, saving a girl named Cheeni, Aditya and Malini’s daughter. Cheeni leads to a reunion between Aryan and Imlie, and they have a baby girl. Malini sets a bomb intending to harm them, resulting in her demise along with the couple, concluding the second season.
In the 18-year leap, Cheeni and Imlie, daughters of Malini-Aditya and Aryan-Imlie, respectively, have grown. Atharva, aka DJ Arto, falls for Cheeni, thinking she’s a poetess. The next generation’s interactions set the stage for potential romantic entanglements and fresh challenges.
Atharva’s family arranges Imlie’s marriage to him, but Cheeni, pretending to love Atharva, schemes to secure his property. Atharva initially regrets the marriage but realizes Imlie’s genuine care. Cheeni’s deceit is exposed, causing turmoil, but Imlie decides to stay for her in-laws.
Cheeni plans to marry Abhishek for his properties. Imlie supports Atharva through Cheeni’s betrayal. Cheeni cancels her wedding, aiming to remove Imlie.
