Lagos House Of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa Cleared Of Corruption Allegation By Lawmakers
Lagos state house of assembly speaker, Mudashiru Obasa has been cleared of the corruption allegation levelled against him.
Victor Akande, the representative of Ojo constituency 1 and chairman of the nine-man fact-finding panel which probed Obasa, said all the allegations made against the speaker were “frivolous” during the presentation of his panel’s report on Monday June 8.
The panel which recommended that the clerk of the house Azeez Sanni should investigate how documents which led to the allegations against the speaker were leaked, maintained that Obasa followed due process in disbursements of funds.
Akande said;
“We also recommend that the activities of the house should be digitalised for proper record keeping and monitoring.
“It was then suggested by the committee that a vote of confidence should be passed in the speaker of the house.
“The speaker did not have multiple accounts with Ecobank, the BVN ascribed to Wema Bank does not belong to him and the companies attributed to him in Wema Bank is not correct.”
The panel’s clearance of Obasa was put to a voice vote by the house’s majority leader Sanai Agunbiade, and was unanimously adopted by the lawmakers.

You see? this is exactly why we are were we are. Reminds me of secondary school days were a classmates says something and everyone keeps quiet when the senior asks who said that, in solidarity we will all tk the punishment meant for one person. He is their own and they have told us he did not wrong. N2M to n fro Dubai, u wud think each person chartered a plane. Wives of lawmakers going for training….so the state assembly have provisions for their wives in their budget? To the point of outside trainings wt esta code? I will never understand it.

It is efcc that is supposed to prosecute obasa not his party members who are all godchildren to Tinubu.I remember when this man was threatening to get ambode arrested if he didn’t come to the chamber’s to answer to corruption,not knowing he was distracting us from his own underground corruption dealings.EFCC should leave Alison madueke alone.
