Lampard Reveals Gilmour ‘Could Still Leave’ Chelsea On Loan This Month

Chelsea head coach, Frank Lampard, has admitted that Billy Gilmour could leave Chelsea on loan during the January transfer window.

Lampard said there are no immediate plans for the youngster to depart Stamford Bridge, but admits that they will keep the ‘option open’.

The news comes just after the 19-year-old made his sixth appearance of the season in an FA Cup win over Luton.

Lampard said: ‘At the moment, he won’t go on loan but we will keep it open until the end of the month.’

Gilmour, who joined Chelsea from Rangers back in 2017, broke onto the scene with some impressive displays last term.

However, he has failed to cement a regular place in the first team following the arrival of Chelsea’s summer signing.
