Liverpool and Machester United Keeping Tabs On Ghana Target Nico Williams
Budding winger, Nico Williams, has emerged as a transfer target of English Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United. The Spanish-born Ghanaian who turned 20 today has reportedly been identified as a replacement for Sadio Mane at Liverpool while Manchester United want him to beef their attack.
According to Fihajes.net, Liverpool and Manchester United will have pay around 42 million Euros to secure the signature of the Spain youth international.
Nico Williams broke into the Athletic Bilbao team last season, making 34 appearances for the club and scoring three goals. Two of his goals were in the Copa del Rey and the other in the Super Copa.
The winger, who is younger brother to new Ghana forward Inaki Williams, has two more years left on his current deal with Athletic Bilbao. However, the Basque-based club has inserted a release clause of 42 million Euros in the player’s contract.
