Man Arrested For Dumping Refuse In Drainage As It Rains In Ikeja (Video)

Lagos state has been known to flood in some areas during the rainy season. Cause of the flood has been subject of debate and Government and Lagosian have different opinion on the causes of the flood.

The Government have been accusing the residents of blocking most drainage with wastes hereby resulting in flood whenever there is heavy downpour.

Lagosians on the other hand have accused the government of negligence in good drainage infrastructures which has been the major cause of flooding.

On this note the Lagos state government has issue several warning that anyone caught in the act will be arrested and prosecuted.

A middle-aged man identified as Mukaila Ismail Gado, has been arrested in Lagos after he was caught on camera disposing of a sack containing refuse into a gutter in his residence, 9 Imalenfe street Alausa ikeja Lagos..

A neighbor filmed him in the act and shared the video online. Watch the video below:

Jubril Gawat who is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media confirmed that the man has been arrested.
