Man Utd aim to sign Frenkie de Jong before 8th July
Frenkie de Jong is Man Utd’s number one target. They have put in an offer of 75 million euros for him. The Red Devils are doing everything they can to have the Dutchman ready for the start of pre-season.
Erik ten Hag wants De Jong in his squad however possible. It could be the beginning of a new ambitious project at the Theatre of Dreams, but Barcelona are refusing to let him go because of Xavi Hernandez.
Richard Arnold, Man Utd CEO, made it clear in an internal meeting that “money will not be a problem.” “We’ve got 200 million to spend,” he said.
The Red Devils are calm: the transfer window is open (even though most deals will take effect until 1st July), but ‘The Guardian’ says that there is a date Man Utd what to have their player by.
Ten Hag’s new look Man Utd will get going on 8th July. It will take place in Thailand and the English club want him signing by then so that he has more time to adapt before the start of the new season.
At the moment, the ball is in Barcelona’s court although everything seems to suggest that he wil turn down the latest offer of 70 millio euros plus variables. Nevertheless, everything could change if De Jong decides to change club.,
