Manchester United Initial Official Bid For Mason Mount Rejected By Chelsea

Chelsea has turned down Manchester United’s initial offer of £40 million for midfielder Mason Mount.

According to rumors, the Blues are refusing to sell the England international until they receive a much greater price.

Mount, whose Stamford Bridge contract is slated to end in 2014, is expected to leave the team this summer after both parties were unable to reach an agreement on an extension.

Mount has long been admired by Man United, and the 20-year-old is in favor of joining the team at Old Trafford.

United would however have to step up their bid to meet Chelsea’s financial demands for the player.
