Minister Of Sports, Sunday Dare Dismisses Scrapping Of NYSC Reports

 Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sport Development, has dismissed reports that the NYSC scheme will be scrapped. 

It was widely reported two days ago that a second reading in the House of Representatives to end the scheme, which has been in existence since 1976, has been passed.  Some people feel that the mandatory one-year scheme for all graduates will be scrapped. 

The Minister, however, said the administration was more than determined to continue to support this scheme. He addressed the entire speculation via his Twitter this morning.

”The NYSC scheme remains one of the greatest tools for National development for our youth. The commitment of the government to sustaining the NYSC scheme remains. Dynamic Reforms and Initiatives towards current realities are ongoing. Nigeria will stand with her youth.” his tweet reads
