Agege, Ikorodu, and other areas of Lagos State are presently affected by the civil unrest that began early on Friday morning.
Pandemonium broke out in several areas of the state early on Friday as some irate people who were likely hoodlums stormed key roads in opposition to the state’s currency shortage.
By six in the morning, the protesters overran Mile-12, Ketu, the Ojota neighborhood, Ikorodu Road, and Iyana-Ipaja.
The demonstration has already expanded to Agege, Ikorodu, Iyana Iba, and other regions of the state, Vanguard can confirm.
Motorists and residents who were on their way to different places of work hurriedly turned back in panic as the rioters went berserk with bonfire set across the road.
