Nicki Minaj Slams Grammy Awards For Not Winning Best New Artist in 2012

This comes after the highly-rated award body released the 2021 nominations for the upcoming awards ceremony. Taking to Twitter, the mother of one condemned the award organizers for being partial during the awards in 2012.

“Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on Billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade—went on to inspire a generation.”

She added, “They gave it to the white man Bon Iver. #PinkFriday.”
