Nigerian Prankster Spends 707 Days In Police Custody For Shooting One-man Robbery Prank… Almost Lynched By Mob
A Nigerian prankster got more than what he bargained for after a prank he shot that went wrong and almost led to his death because the mob was prepared to lynch him.
The prankster, Daniel Christopher, used his Twitter platform to narrate his ordeal after he regained freedom from police custody, 707 days after the incident. In his lengthy narration on Twitter, Daniel explained how trouble started when he went to shoot the robbery prank video at Epe area of Lagos on August 3, 2021.
He wrote;
“It’s a joyful day for me to finally be able to walk around a freeman after spending 707 days in Custodian custody. Thanks to my lawyer and everyone that partake in my freedom,” .
“I was on a one man stunt robbery prank Video for #Dnaijaspirittalenthunt on the 3rd of August 2021 in Epe While on the scene after the script my content was Misunderstood and I almost got lynched by angry mobs
“They made away with my phones, flash, hard drive and cash some of 200,000 Naira that was suppose to be the price money for characters involved in my script. after they stripped me off all my belongings, and was almost hacked me to death I was taken to the police station.
“Getting to the police station, there was no attempt to recover my stolen items but instead the police commenced their own interrogation, after being beaten up on top of what the mobs did I was requested to pay the sum of 300,000 naira for my bail
“With no means of communication with family and friends. on the 3rd day I was transferred to FSARs in Ikeja where I was tortured into submission and forced to signing the police fabricated statement after being held there for 34 days.
“Spent 670 days for trials. God finally vindicated me and now I’m a free man. I can’t get back 707 days I lost in custody and Money spent all through this terrible experience. But I’m grateful to God for this day. And I’ve not given up to become a celebrated Nigerian.”
