Nigerians Call Out AMVCA Organizers For Snubbing Asaba Actors In Award Ceremony
African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) organizers have come under fire for routinely excluding Asaba-based actors like Yul Edochie, Junior Pope, and Destiny Etiko.
Disgruntled Nigerians vented their anger on social media at AMVCA for failing to recognize the actors despite airing their films on their channels.
This follows the 9th edition of the award presentation, which was held over the weekend at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos and included significant wins for BBNaija stars, Broda Shaggi, and Bimbo Ademoye.
Following the show, some Twitter users took to the microblogging platform to slamm the organizers of the award show for failing to recognize and nominate Destiny Etiko and her colleagues in Asaba and the Eastern part of Nigeria.
