“Old N200 N500 And N1000 Remain Legal Tender” – CBN
Commercial banks are required by the Central Bank of Nigeria to accept and disburse old naira notes as legal money everywhere in the nation.
The apex bank reportedly issued the decision at a Bankers’ Committee meeting held on Sunday, according to a statement by the interim director of CBN Corporate Communications, Isa AbdulMumin.
The old Naira notes can now be given out and received by banks.
