Peter Obi’s investments in Anambra worth next to nothing – Gov. Soludo

Published

The claimed investments made by one of his predecessors, Peter Obi, have lost value over time, according to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The Labour Party presidential candidate made investments while he was the governor of Anambra State, although Soludo originally denied knowing about them.

Remember that between 2006 and 2014, Obi served two terms as governor of Anambra, and he has frequently asserted that he used funds from the state to invest in projects that are still paying off today.

However, Soludo, who took over management from Willie Obiano, who succeeded Obi, said that Obi’s assets were worth virtually nothing.

When asked if he intended to follow any of the Labour Party candidate’s proposals, particularly in the area of investments, Soludo politely rejected the suggestion.

He said that the purpose of his invitation to the interview was to discuss his 2023 budget.

However, the governor was questioned about the condition of Obi’s investments and asked if he was still looking in that direction.

His response was that, “…by the way the one (investment) that you’re talking about, I don’t know anything about that. I think there was something I read about somebody speculating about whatever investment. With what I’ve seen today, the value of those investments is worth next to nothing. So, let’s leave that aside.”
