Police Arrest Three Suspected Killers Of Deeper Life Pastor in Kogi
The State Command of the NIgeria Police Force confirmed this in a statement reeased on Saturday.
The late Clergyman according to reports, was gruesomely murdered on 10th March by some criminals over an undisclosed issue.
The deceased had closed late from a church service at Okaito area, along Kabba-Okene last week and was returning to his home at Ohiokpe area, in the Okehi Local Government Area of the state in the night when he was attacked by assailants.
Reports gathered that the clericc’s death may not be unconnectd with issues arising a grant that he allegedly got himself involved in and which the handlers are yet to disburse to the beneficiares.
Confirming the arrest of the suspects, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), ASP William Ayo said the body of the deceased was recovered from a pit along the route of his church, a few days after he was declared missing.
Ayo said the three criminals arrested are already undergoing investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the commmand in an attempt in an attempt to uncover the reason behind their dastardly act.
The police mouthpiece added that the command have been on the trail of the hoodlums and that intelligence gathering led the operatives to arrest the three suspects in their hideoutin the area.
Ao, however said the command would not disclose the identity of the three suspects, as the police were still on trail of more culprits.
