Setting The Record Straight! Burna Boy Divulges His Malice With Nigerians, Mentions Cubana Shooting And More

Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, roasted Nigerians in his new album as he seemingly addresses his grudges where he mentioned the demeaning things Nigerians have said about him.

He also addressed his alleged involvement in the shooting incident that occurred at Cubana Club sometime ago.

Burna Boy poured his heart out in his latest musical project, the “I Told Them” album. Within the album, there’s a track titled “Thanks,” a collaboration featuring rapper J. Cole. This particular song explicitly addressed the grudges.

Back in 2022, Burna Boy became the subject of attention due to rumors that he had been involved in a shooting incident aimed at establishing communication with a man’s spouse. Rather than clarifying the situation, Burna Boy chose to remain silent, which allowed unfounded gossip to circulate without constraint.

The lyrics of the song make his stance clear:

“Is this the appreciation I receive? Say my mother danced for Fela Say I don’t have baby mamas Say I shot someone at Cubana Because I wanted to woo someone’s woman Is this the appreciation I receive? For making my people proud Every opportunity I get”
