Social Media Influencer Dies After Trying To Take A Selfie Near A Waterfall

A daredevil social media influencer has gotten caught in the ropes of untimely death after she fell off a waterfall while trying to take a selfie.

She fell 16 feet to her death into the Tsing Dai stream near Yuen Long, Hong Kong on Saturday, July 10.

Sofia Cheung, 32, had spent the day with three friends at Ha Pak Lai nature park

Sofia, whose Instagram page lists hiking, kayaking, exploring, outdoor activities, and photography as her passions, had climbed up to the top of the waterfall to take the photos later that day when she lost her footing and fell into the water

Her friends immediately called emergency services, and paramedics were able to get Sofia to a hospital in Hong Kong, but she was tragically pronounced dead on arrival

Friends have mourned the influencer whose Instagram bio reads: “Life should be fun not dumb.”
