Super Dad killed his daughter’s stalker after he showed up with a gun at their house
Mr Majury has been hailed a hero after he killed his teen daughter’s stalker when he showed up at their house with a gun.
The stalker, 18-year-old Eric Rohan Justin, blasted the front door open with his handgun to try and kill Ava Majury, a 15-year-old TikTok star from Naples, Florida.
Prior to showing up at her home with a gun, he had been harassing her. The harassment began only weeks after signing up to TikTok in 2020.
Ava posts singing and dancing videos alongside those of her pulling practical jokes on her family and this has made her popular on TikTok.
But she told the New York Times that the darker side of her fame came when Rohan Justin tracked her down after buying personal details off her friends, including her telephone number.
On a day in June 2021, the teenage stalker arrived at the family home and began firing shots through the front door with a handgun, leading Ava and her two brothers to hide in their parent’s bedroom.
Recalling the moment of terror, she told the newspaper: “All I remember was, I heard it, I felt it in my chest, and I looked up, and there was a hole in my door from the fragments.”
While this was going on, Ava’s father, a retired police officer, rose to the occasion. Mr Marjury asked the stalker to drop his weapon but he refused so he shot him dead.
No charges were brought against the father as a result of Florida’s ‘stand your ground’ law, which permits homeowners to use lethal force against intruders if there is a clear threat to life.
Police searching the stalker’s two mobile phones after his death found that he had saved hundreds of photographs of Ava alongside some of her TikTok videos.
Justin’s father shared his shock at the incident, telling newspaper: “He was a nice kid. I’m at a loss for words. I don’t know what went bad with him. He made a bad choice.”
