Tanzania Passenger Plane crash Lands In Lake
Precision Air aircraft from Tanzania crashed into Lake Victoria.
The plane was going to arrive at Bukoba Airport in Northwestern Tanzania, but owing to the bad weather, it crashed into the lake, according to Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).
According to Precision Air’s social media accounts, the passenger jet had left Dar es Salaam for a two-hour journey to Bukoba.
Although the number of passengers on board the Precision Air plane and if any individuals died are unknown, TBC reported that 15 people have so far been recovered from it.
The news reports show photos of the plane mostly submerged in the lake and say rescue operation is underway.
Bukoba Airport is on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
