Thiago Silva Wife Wades Into Amartey Row & Backs Husband

Published

Thiago Silva’s wife, Isabele, has waded into the row between the Chelsea players and Daniel Amartey, backing her husband for ‘showing him who’s boss’.

Amartey angered Chelsea’s players and fans by posing for a picture with the club’s pennant before throwing it away during the FA Cup celebrations with Leicester on Saturday.

And the substitute became embroiled in a touchline spat on Tuesday night during Chelsea’s 2-1 Premier League win over the Foxes.

Isabele da Silva, who was at the game, later took to social media and posted a picture of her husband involved in the Amartey spat.

She wrote: ‘That’s right, show who’s boss’.

Isabele also shared a number of Instagram stories during the match, one of which had her chanting along, ‘We hate Tottenham, Chelsea!’

Fans have been lapping up her commitment to the cause and a number of them commented, noting how smoothly the family have settled in to life in London.

One account posted: ‘They just get it. They really do,’ while another said: ‘This family is something else’.

A third posted: ‘I’ve never seen a player become so engraved in a club so quickly.

‘Silva arrived not even a year ago and you can see he and his family adore the club. Even though he’s only got one or two more seasons left, you can tell he’s lifelong Chels. Love it!’

While the former PSG defender has been impressing on the pitch for the Blues, this is not the first time Isabele has made waves.

Earlier in the season, she criticised Timo Werner’s finishing after Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.

She claimed he ‘keeps missing goals’ and that he doesn’t ‘want to score’.

Speaking on her Instagram story she said: ‘This is karma, guys. Every team I go to there is a striker who keeps missing goals… this Werner, what is his name?’

Isabele, 34, previously took aim at Andy Roberton too, chiding the Liverpool left-back for sharing a clip on TikTok of him beating Chelsea’s Jorginho with a piece of skill, saying: ‘(Ben) Chilwell (of Chelsea) is better than u dude you even lost to Southampton.’

She also made another dig at Tottenham, saying: ‘My football team’s rival has no trophies.’
