Tinubu Finally Reacts To Lekki Shooting Incidence… Says Casualties Needs To Be Questioned
Former governor of Lagos state and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the unfortunate ”Lekki massacre” incident that occurred in the state on Tuesday.
Responding to the occurrence on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Lagos State Government House, Marina, Tinubu said the shooting casualties need to answer some questions that will help the Lagos State Government to understand how to react.
Tinubu said, “Those who suffered casualties during the gunshots need to answer some questions too. How are they there? How long were they there? What types of characters were they, even though we want to help, we still must extract information to help the government to understand how and when to react.”
Recall that on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, some military men attacked peaceful #Endsars protesters assembled at Lekki toll gate to protest against police brutality and demand good governance.
Following the event, the state’s ex-governor was slammed on social media, as many Nigerians believed it was a premeditated incident, and he knew about it.
Explaining why he visited Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tinubu said he was there to sympathize with him and the Lekki shooting victims. He further said he wished to seek Sanwo-Olu’s permission to visit some of the victims if they are still at the hospital and take responsibility for payment.
