Young Lady Arrested For Killing Ex-husband’s Son, Throwing Him Into The Well

A woman named Maryam Habibu, 18, was detained by the Katsina State Police Command on suspicion of reportedly drowning her ex-4-year-old husband’s kid in a well in the state’s Kafur Local Government Area.

The young suspect was detained on November 9, 2022, according to a statement from the command’s spokeswoman, SP Gambo Isah.

He claims that Habibu went to the home of her ex-husband, lured the youngster out, and then dumped him inside a well.

“On 09/11/2022 at about 2200hrs, they succeeded in arresting one Maryam Habibu, ‘F’, aged 18yrs of Leko village, Danja LGA of Katsina state, an ex-step mother, that killed her step son, one Jamilu Rabi’u, ‘M’, aged 4yrs of Illallawa village, Kafur LGA, by throwing the boy into a well,” the PPRO said.

“The suspect went to the house of her ex-husband and lured the little boy into a nearby area and threw the deceased into a well. In the course of investigation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offence. Investigation is ongoing,”
